Modules will have the ability to nest together by interchanging the shell with a soft pliable membrane which allows the modules, when in an enclosure type configuration for example, to protect against infiltration from such things as regolith; nesting enough to allow adhesion to occure at the strips.

surfaces
Simple example of modules which have released an epoxy type solution to make a flat surface. The modules also have the ability to release an expanding foam to fill gaps for such things as insulation.
Because the module has an adhesion, similar to velcro at the surface,we can also design clothes, finger gloves, shoes, and many other items to aid in our travel within spaces by placing similar adhesive technologies in them.

physical model
other properties
The cells provide flexibility, and in this case some of the cells will contain a bladder filled with epoxy which can be secreted to fill gaps between cells and to create flat surfaces, such as a table top. **Look closely and you'll notice the adhesive strips being pushed out by the stabilizing rods.
**Clearification of mechanics- These animations only show the range of motion for the pendulum. The actual motion would be that similar to a hammer on a gun which would thrust one direction and stop abruptly...forcing easy movement of the module due to scale, 1/6 gravity, and adhesives. This concept is very schematic and has not yet undergone further engineering/ developement as we are generating ideas for robotic modular design for lunar architecture.

section of module
The section illustrates the internal components that will power the cells to move and to find its direction. The shell between the adhesive strips can be interchangable with various materials; housing such things as lights, transluscent materials, soft fabrics to create beds or blankets, rubber to form floors, hard materials, and other various materials.
